Get to know me

Hello! My name is Ola.

Here’s me in my natural habitat – quiet cafe in the center of Warsaw, favourite cup of tea (with milk!) and… my tools. I’ve always wanted to grow my passion for design into a business – come and join me – creativity is the key.

Let's create something beautiful!
My mission is simple

I bring people’s ideas to life through my passion.

I’ve graduated from New Media – Graphic Design faculty in Warsaw. It was a very intensive period of learning the art of design and mastering my skills. I won an EU scholarship and continued my education in Wales, UK. Glyndwr University was a place where, while working on client briefs, I focused on craft, calligraphy and screenprint. Straight after uni I started working as a graphic designer.

I’ve worked for DDB Digital, Mediapolis and The Boston Consulting Group. Last year I took an exciting offer of an internship at Mijksenaar Wayfinding Experts Studio in Amsterdam.

Having worked for one of the biggest corporations in the world, I’ve mastered teamwork and handling pressure and stress. Kotowska Studio started with my desire to build a closer relationship with my clients – to help them build a vision and create a unique brands.

Illustration

You may need an illustration for your article or a blogpost. That may also be a set of illustrations for your book or online course. I work in many different styles – both hand-drawn and digital. I can provide you with beautiful watercolours or sketchy drawings, depending on your needs.

Sketchnoting and Calligraphy

I’m a huge fan of handlettering and sketching- weather you run a podcast or are about to publish a book – sketchnoting may help you convey more meaning in a visual way.

I also enjoy calligraphy and can prepare a set of handwritten invitations or envelopes for your event!

How do I work?

A bit about the rules

I value my clients’ trust and I’m passionate about seeing their businesses grow.
I always ensure that both sides are happy not only with the end result, but also with the whole design process.
That’s why I stick to a couple of rules to follow and ask my clients to join in.

Communication

First – get in touch! Use my contact form or give me a call and tell me all about your needs. At the beginning of our cooperation I’d like to talk to you via mobile or skype. You can expect good communication and reliability from me, that’s why I’ll send you update emails regularly throughout the project.

Clear instructions

I like to set up the rules straight, so I’ll send you all the detailed information about the working method on a particular project. You’ll be clearly informed about the rounds of corrections, when you can make changes to the project, that are included in the price. We’ll set the deadline and agree for milestones and precise dates.

Quote and payment

At the beginning I will provide you with the total cost of the project. I base my quotes on the difficulty of the project, deadline and After an agreement I’ll ask you for a 50% upfront payement, after which I’ll proceed with the work. The rest is to be payed up to 7 working days after the deadline of the project.

After the project

When the project is completed, I like to have a closing chat with you about the whole experience and the project. I offer discounts returning clients and for referrals, and really like to keep in touch and see how the design work is doing.

If there’s ever any issue, I’m here and happy to help anyway I can. I can also provide you with post-project support. Such a support is charged hourly and the rate depends on the particular project. Should you need assistance with running your social media or with working with your new Wordpress website – I’ll be happy to help!

Creativity is a natural state of my mind – I never stop learning and looking for new ways of expression!
